Who are the Rocket City Rednecks?
Meet Travis and his team of redneck boffins who test out their scientific theories the only way they know how – with lots of beer and explosions...

-
Travis Taylor aka "The Ringleader"
Travis built his first rocket aged six (of course he did) and has been a space geek ever since. He holds five degrees and has written two textbooks, 25 technical papers and 14 sci-fi novels. For the past 25 years he's been working for the Department of Defence and NASA and has above Top Secret clearance with the US government. Yes, he probably knows the truth about all those rumoured UFO landings. It hasn't always been space-age hijinks though - Travis once worked in a chicken house.
-
Rog Jones aka "The Sidekick"
Rog met Travis in the Talent and Gifted class at school (well, they were building rockets aged six) and the pair have been best friends ever since. Rog has a genius IQ but turned his back on studying to pursue a life of metal working, welding, woodworking, fishing, drinking beer and er, creative mischief. He lives with his family in a double-wide trailer by a small pond that he likes to call 'Lake Flaccid'. Best not to ask.
-
Charles Taylor aka "Daddy"
Charles aka Travis's dad aka "Daddy" was one of NASA's original machinists and helped Wernher Von Braun build America's first satellites. During an impressive career he worked on top-secret satellites and designed many of the tools that are still used in the US car industry. Charles is retired these days so spends his time fishing, hunting and filming Rocket City Rednecks.
-
Michael Taylor aka "The Kid"
Travis's nephew Michael carried on the family tradition by building a motorised shopping trolley when he was just 16. His physics teacher declared he would be famous someday and just look at him now. Michael splits his time between studying welding at college, running his own tree removal business and looking after his goat farm. Nice work if you can get it.
-
Pete Erbach aka "Pistol Pete"
Not only does Pete collect guns (he has 27 at last count), he's also a black belt in Aikido. He met Travis at college and is now part of the family after marrying Travis's sister. Pete's day job includes helping the US government solve classified projects and he's also an expert in optical sensor and seeker technologies.
