Henning was inspired to take up stand-up just over ten years ago after a frankly rubbish evening at an open mic night which convinced him that he could do better.
After appearing as a warm-up act for the likes of Stewart Lee, he became a well-known name on the comedy circuit and it wasn't long before those purveyors of fine comedy Radio 4 were knocking at his door with guest spots on shows such as The Unbelievable Truth.
He's a regular panellist on QI and 8 Out Of 10 Cats and has also appeared on Would I Lie To You?, Room 101 and 10 O'Clock Live.
Henning's stand-up covers everything from second-hand shoes to what the Germans think of 'Allo 'Allo. He clearly likes to live his professional life dangerously as he also has routines about why humour is overrated and stand-up comedy pointless.
Football is another big talking point for the German comedian which is just as well as his latest TV project is World Cup-inspired road trip Road To Rio.
